Columbus Convention

American Institute of Building Design

July 29 - August 1, 2014

Pubs, Bars, and Watering Holes

Columbus is home to quite an eclectic and vibrant nightlife/bar scene. We have a rich brewing history due to the original German immigrants that settled in what is now called German Village. Funny how that works, huh? Within a five minute walk of the Hilton Hotel, are the true gems of all watering holes.

If you're looking for a unique space coupled with a relaxed vibe, Pint House is the place to be. With a full selection of on tap and bottled brews, this American-pub is the only place in the Short North to also include a beer garden for the warmer months. Not looking for liquid courage? Pint House also offers some of the best "pub grub" around.

If Mead is more of your flavor, the Brothers Drake Meadery is just a turn around the corner. By using local honey, fruits and spices, they are one of the city's only organic producers of Mead. If you fancy a tour of their production line, the Brothers open their doors to guests every Saturday. Check the link for more details.

DJs, dancing, and dining! Skully's Music-Diner is the place to be for a more upbeat crowd. It's been voted the best dance club in 2014, it's sure to deliver a fun evening. Skully's also offers an all-day menu for those who'd like to duck in for a bite to eat.

And no list of bars is complete without the infamous Park Street Cantina, part of the Park Street Complex. Located directly behind the hotel and North Market, Park Street is the place to be in Columbus. Every weekend offers a new variety of live entertainment and/or events in town. You won't want to miss the tacos here!

We're counting down the days here in Columbus! Be sure to register to join us next month for another great Convention.
